EA has officially announced EA Sports UFC 2, the sequel to its debut game in the mixed martial arts genre.

A tweet sent out by the series' official account reads, "The wait is finally over! Tune in tomorrow." This was accompanied by the image above, which features the game's name and tomorrow's date.
No other details were shared, nor was there any indication as to what we'll be learning about tomorrow.
The first UFC game was released last year for Xbox One and PS4, and was followed by a mobile version earlier this year. EA acquired the UFC rights from THQ in 2012, when it announced that it had plans for multiple games based on the MMA company.
Barring a surprise reveal of a launch coming this year, it would appear the UFC games won't be annual releases--at least at this point--as is the case with EA's other sports games. That's to be expected, both because we hadn't heard about the game until now and because it was nowhere to be seen in EA's latest investors report. That doesn't necessarily mean we won't see it this fiscal year (ending March 31, 2016), though.
We'll report back tomorrow with whatever EA does end up announcing.
